Stupid ass fucks don’t give u a power cord I thing they should give a power cord already connected and u put a plug on it is there any cord I can buy for one The transformer I use here for my European appliances doesn't really get me enough voltage, and it is especially annoying for my great coffee grinder that thus blocks when the power is not enough.. I am upgrading from a 120V element and am comfortable with that wiring. 240V is still a little new to me. I can install the breaker and all of that but I am confused on connecting to the element. Currently I am not using a controller and was going to direct wire (with a plug). The issue is that there are only 2 terminals on the element. I have a relatively cheap emergency air compressor in my trunk that is really only good for filling tires. One thing I like about it is, it can run on both 12 volts dc (car) and 120 volts ac (NA home). I’m looking for something with a small reservoir, metal construction, and the capability to run some small air tools. Operating with multiple power sources is a plus. Thanks:)
Before you wire a 230V air compressor, you should always check the manual for the proper wire gauge. All 230V appliances must be connected to a dedicated circuit powered by a double-pole circuit breaker with the proper amperage rating. The wiring procedure may or may not call for a neutral wire.
