I just got a 2014 Ford Escape, had a few issues, got small used car dealer to fix it within 30 day warranty. Now there's a significant amount of water coming out of the tail pipe in the back. It is definitely water, and it leaves a puddle on the driveway. It's winter in MA so it's frigid out, haven't used A/C. I drove the car home from work (half hour) and that's when I noticed the water. Anyone know what it could be? I got it 2 weeks ago. Do I need a mechanic or is that normal? It's defi...

I just noticed today, I had the AC on but the air coming out was slightly warm. It was blowing fine at normal force it was just warm air. Also not sure if this has anything to do with it possibly, but the external temperature on the screen has read 25° F all day. It’s 60° right now so I think it’s stuck. Any ideas on what I can do? Do I was about to start my car when these lights came on plus my car wouldn’t move from drive? I had to wait for a bit for my escape to turn on again and drive off with no indications or lights on why? Plus I don’t want to take it in and get scammed for some useless stuff please help? My daughter is looking at a 2014 Ford Escape S with 112,500 miles for $9,000. Assuming it has been properly maintained, is this a decent car to buy? What, if anything, should she expect to go wrong?
2014 ford escape parts diagram. As the title says, trying to determine which is a better used car. The only reason I am considering Escape is because its an SUV but I am against visiting mechanics too frequently which is my impression of the Ford brand. Then again, VW could be all hype about German engineering for all I know. I never owned car/suv from either companies. Both have practically identical mileage - 105,000 KM/65,000 miles and they are similar in terms of cosmetic scratch/dents etc. that comes from being on the ro... I have a 2014 ford escape with 125k miles on it. Transmission stopped working and likely going to need redone. I'm also due for timing belt, water pump, etc changed. Are these costs worth keeping the escape or should I look for a new car given it's milage? I recently paid off my escape and it's nice not having a car payment. Hi, I’m looking at the 2014 Ford Escape SE and I feel it’s a little older but the features and mileage(77k km) tell me it might be a great choice. Please i’d like to know any thoughts on the vehicle? How is it on gas? Any recurring or known issues? Thanks for your response in advance. Hello all, family member has a 2014 Ford Escape with the two following issues First is the car doesn't turn on after getting gas, it requires needing to be jumped for it to come on, and it takes a few seconds for it to turn over Second is it is burning through gas, it'll say 300mi to empty but as you drive around it drops to like 275, 250, 225 etc very quickly, would estimate mpg is like half I've tried looking online and the purge valve appears to be a common issue but cannot find any relat...
Hello, good people of Oshawa, I"m looking for a good local mechanic that can diagnose and fix some electrical issues plaguing our 2014 Ford Escape. The dashboard warning lights keep flickering on and off while driving (see vid) in addition to shutting down the radio, and heating at intervals. Particularly noticeable after a cold start in the morning and while running the heating system...The cabin lights and headlights also flicker a lot. At first, I thought it was the battery, so I had... Model: 2014 SE, 1.6L 4WD, 130,000kms, Pacific North West Just had my transmission fluid changed for preventative maintenance and it was super dirty. They said the trans is on its way out and he’s seeing it more often with this generation of escapes. They couldn’t put a timeline on trans failure but quoted a $4000 repair *when* it happens. Said it could be tomorrow, or it could be 6 months or longer. The only noticeable symptom I feel is a slight hang shifting up from 2nd to 3rd. That and a P0... As the title says i'm looking to buy this 2014 Escape i found with price i'm happy with. It's got about 100k miles on it. I know this is one of the years that has transmissions that like to suicide themselves. Is there some kind of warranty i can negotiate on? It would have to be transferable because the vehicle is an hour away from me. So to have it serviced i'd take it to my local dealership.
